I've always loved creative activities from collaging to painting. When middle school came around I joined the yearbook team where I worked my way up to being the photographer and editor. My sister was taking photography at school and she often helped me with the camera, explaining how to use th settings and how to get the best photos. I had a lot of fun capturing my eighth grade year in a series of photos and then having them published in a yearbook that many of us will have for years. 

        When I came to Sturgeon there were so many options and in my first year I did not take photography, but in grade ten I decided to it up again. I really enjoyed the challenges and being able to learn how to capture memories even better. Now in grade eleven I'm slowly, but surely improving my skills and broadening my horizon with the help of the photo contest, photoshop assignments and wednesday tutorials.
